FUTURES Hosts Educator Intern Program
|
Volusia County community leaders and current Volusia Countyeducators will get a first hand look at what it takes to run aschool district by participating in the Educator Intern Program,sponsored by FUTURES FOUNDATION for Volusia County Schools. Theprogram is designed to help citizens learn more about the schoolsystem at both the school and district level.
Educator Intern participants will attend an orientation session onWednesday, October 7. The interns will spend the full day shadowingdistrict and school administrators on Thursday, October 8. Adebriefing session with Superintendent Margaret Smith and FUTURESboard members will be held on Friday, October 9. At the debriefingsession, interns will share their experiences and offer suggestionsfor improvement.

FUTURES Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports theVolusia County School District. The organization's board ofdirectors consists of community and civic leaders who raise fundsfor recognition activities for students and staff. Len Marinaccio,is president of FUTURES.
