FUTURES Hosts Educator Intern Program
|
Volusia County community leaders and current Volusia County
educators will get a first hand look at what it takes to run a
school district by participating in the Educator Intern Program,
sponsored by FUTURES FOUNDATION for Volusia County Schools. The
program is designed to help citizens learn more about the school
system at both the school and district level.
Educator Intern participants will attend an orientation session on
Wednesday, October 7. The interns will spend the full day shadowing
district and school administrators on Thursday, October 8. A
debriefing session with Superintendent Margaret Smith and FUTURES
board members will be held on Friday, October 9. At the debriefing
session, interns will share their experiences and offer suggestions
for improvement.

FUTURES Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports the
Volusia County School District. The organization's board of
directors consists of community and civic leaders who raise funds
for recognition activities for students and staff. Len Marinaccio,
is president of FUTURES.
