Dear Fellow Volusia County Schools Employees,As we strive to provide the best education possible for each of our students, we are not alone. We are joined by our community partners the FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools who are with us every step of the way. Since 1985, the Foundation has consistently raised funds to support the needs of our students and staff in areas not covered by tax dollars. FUTURES has started the Invest in Our Future Payroll Deduction Program. We are asking all employees to consider donating a small portion of their paycheck to FUTURES for programs that benefit all of us! If each of our employees would participate, even $2 per paycheck, it would have a dramatic impact on what the Foundation could do for our school district. All contributions are tax deductible, as allowed by law, and documentation will be provided to each donor. Every contributor will be given a pin acknowledging his/her support and belief in the public schools of Volusia County.

Mini-Grant Program
Mini-Grants provide funding for teachers' creative and innovative activities. since the program's inception, FUTURES has funded over 3,000 projects totaling over $1.2 million!
Take Stock In Children Program
FUTURES provides college tuition scholarships amd mentors for selected at-risk students.
Staff and Student Recognition
FUTURES hosts the New Teacher Breakfast, the Principal of the Year program, the Superintendent's Outstanding Achievement award, the Teacher of the Year program, the First Year Teacher award, and student recognition events.
Tomorrow's Leaders
FUTURES provides leadership training for high school juniors exposing them to the challenges, resources, and programs directing Volusia County's future.
Public Information
FUTURES provides funds for the Educator Intern shadowing program, informational brochures and public service announcements.
Progress Energy has their own payroll deduction program where employees contribute and funds are sent directly to FUTURES every quarter.
