Principal of the Year
The 2012 Elementary and Secondary Principals of the Year awards are co-sponsored by FUTURES Foundation and the Volusia County School District. This years' recipients were surprised by a visit from the Award Patrol comprised of Superintendent Smith, FUTURES representatives, school board members, and area superintendents.
Bonnie Gyarfas of Longstreet and Port Orange Elementary Schools is the new Elementary Principal of the Year.
Cheryl Salerno of Mainland High School is the Secondary Principal of the Year.
