FUTURES Foundation sponsors New Teachers Academy
The 2024 New Teachers Academy, an exciting two-day event, was held by Volusia County Schools Recruitment and Retention and Volusia Leads! at Mainland High School on July 29th and 30th. This initiative prepared new educators for their first year in Volusia County Schools. FUTURES provided breakfast and lunch to teachers on day two of the event. Our board members were on hand to serve and greet the new teachers. We would also like to thank our sponsors - Grand Canyon University, Florida Health Care Plans, and Equitable Advisors.
For the 2nd year, FUTURES provided Teacher Starter Kits from our newly launched Teacher Resource Store. Each new teacher received a box of the top 10 most needed supplies in the classroom.
